Summer To Do List

Summer is just around the corner and all the wonderful weather we are having (except the freak storm yesterday afternoon) is making me wonder why I didn't get a degree in education and become a teacher. Three months off! What was I thinking?

Even though, I may not have hours upon hours to lay around this summer, I do intend to enjoy this season to the fullest. Yesterday, Kate over at Centsational Girl posted her "Summer 'To Do' List" and I thought it would be fun to post one of my own.

This summer I am going to:
  • Have dinners on our patio
  • Read by the pool
  • Go to CANADA!
  • Enjoy Matt being homework-free
  • Eat lots of yummy peaches
  • Watch the sunset
  • Go hiking
  • Wear dresses
  • Indulge in ice cream
  • Cross some items of my 101 in 1001 list
  • Go camping
  • Praise the Lord for every sunny, New Mexican day!
What are your summer plans?

There was practically a tornado in my hometown the day before, but our day was perfect.

A Loonngg 2 Weeks

These past two weeks have been long ones. Life has been underway here in the 505 and the Danner's are tired, or at least this Danner is.

Our big plans to celebrate Matt's picnic in the Zoo got rained out, so we had an impromtu picnic in our house. We didn't get to see baby elephant Daisy, but I think everyone had fun anyways.

My sister in-law Morgan made those delicious desserts

 Sweet friends

 Old buddies

I've developed a love/hate relationship with Spring. I love the blooming trees and all the pretty bouquets of flowers but appearantly they don't love me. I've had unusually bad allergies this year that turned into a yucky cold, sending me to bed for almost three days straight.

I probably got my cold from all the bouquet's I've been bringing home. They are just so pretty!

We celebrated Mother's Day with Matt's family. In an attempt to impress my Mother-in-law, who is a GREAT cook, I made this mess of a dessert.

Everyone was really nice and said it tasted good. I'm still not sure if they were telling the truth.

Matt had four finals and on top of endless amounts of studying he had to nurse a sick wife. Man, he's a trooper. He took his last final today as a 2L (second year law student). His third and FINAL year is underway and if all goes according to plan, it should be nice and short. The countdown to graduation can officially begin, only eight months left!

That's all for now. Is it too early to say T.G.I.F?
