An Eventful Weekend in the 575

We pulled into the 505 this morning at 6:30 am after an eventful weekend spent in Las Cruces with my family. It seems like we are always celebrating something and this weekend was no different. We started the weekend off right with a brunch to celebrate Nicole graduating with her Master's in Education.

Miss Addy in her cute blue outfit and bow that I made for her

It was a beautiful sunny morning, perfect for sitting out on the patio, but a bit warmer than we are used to in Albuquerque.

We got to visit our Alamador where both Matt and I graduated. Go Aggies!! This was the most painless graduation I've ever attended. After Nicole received her degree, instead of heading back to her seat, she just kept walking right out the door. We of course, quickly followed, thankful to not have to watch the remaining 200 hundred people walk across the stage.

The Graduate, so proud of you Aunt Nic!

Cute couple by the duck pond, how come I never hung out there when I was in school? It's so pretty!

On Saturday night, we attended the rehearsal dinner for our good family friends who were getting married the next day at our favorite restaurant, Lorenzo's. Yum! In between events and Addy's feedings, we were able to squeeze some family hang out time in. We skipped church the next day and had a low-key Mother's Day celebration with pizza and cupcakes.

Addy loves to talk to Uncle Perry

 Happy Mother's Day Mamaw!

To wrap up our fun filled weekend, we attended a beautiful wedding held in our good friends backyard. The whole thing was just lovely! Not only did the grooms parents host close to 100 people in their home, but his Dad also led the ceremony.

 Such a cutie!

 BEAutiful!

Phew! It was a fun weekend but it's going to take us a couple days to recover. These things are just a little bit more exhausting with a newborn, but super fun.

P.S. What do you think of my little blog makeover?

Weeks 5 - 7 with Adelyne

It suddenly hit me this week that my little one is growing and changing everyday. I got the sudden urge to document EVERYTHING! After all, She will only be seven weeks old once and I don't want to forget these special times. So since I haven't been very diligent about that, here's what little miss Addy has been up to these past three weeks in photos....

Watching the Masters with Grandma Marie

Sleepin'. This is typical Addy; one hand out of the swaddle, a little drool and her paci tucked safely under her cheek

Hanging out on the Boppy

Posing for Mom

She's just too cute!

 Lounging "Under the Sea"

"Look how far I can lift up my head!"

She has reached a really fun stage where she smiles and coos during play time

Ready to go to church on Easter morning, it was a bit chilly

Showing off her first Easter outfit

Our attempt at a family photo

Laughing at Grandma

And finally a video of Addy with the hiccups at 5 weeks. The lighting is awful but she is super cute.

It's Official!

It's official! Matt is now licensed to practice law in the state of New Mexico.

We drove up to Santa Fe yesterday for his swearing in. He was motioned in by my cousin who has been an attorney for a couple of years. After each prospective attorney was named, they all stood and said "I do" to the oath. Then, the members of the New Mexico Supreme Court gave some words.

Each new lawyer got to sign the "Roll of Attorneys", which goes back to the 1800's.

Mr. and Mrs. Esquire

After the ceremony, we celebrated with lunch at the Shed. There was much to be celebrated that day!

Addy is a Month Old!

Our sweet baby girl turned a month today

A day after her little cousin, Carter Grey Wingerd was born. Unfortuneately, I don't have photos, but we are so excited he's here

This past month has, of course, gone by quickly

Our lives have changed dramatically but we wouldn't have it any other way

She has us wrapped around her little finger

It's a little surreal that we are now a family of three but hard to imagine life without her
She loves to snuggle on Mommy's shoulder and watch golf with Daddy

Her facial expressions are priceless and keep us laughing

We are looking forward to many more wonderful months spent with our sweet girl!

Esquire

Allow me to introduce you to my husband, the Esquire.

Matthew Adam Danner, Attorney at Law.

That's right ladies and gentlemen, Matt passed the Bar!!!!

We found out yesterday just as we were about to eat lunch. I had just put Addy down as Matt ran in and said those two words I had been dying to hear, "I passed!"

We celebrated with grilled cheese, tomato soup, chips, a bottle of champagne and maybe a few tears of joy.

Thanks to everyone who prayed and offered words of encouragement as Matt spent two months studying and another month waiting for results. God is so good to us!
