Adelyne is Three Years Old!

Our sweet little lady turned three on the 9th of this month!

"I'm the tallest girl in the world!"

You can read all about her big Birthday weekend here
For the past two years, I've done a birthday post for Addy which include her yearly stats. This year, I sat down with Addy the night before her Birthday and had her answer a few of the questions for me. Her answers are in italics.

AGE: 3 years old
HEIGHT: She's a little on the short side but won't know her exact height until her 3 year well check on Thursday
FAVORITE FOOD: Peas
She also really like Mac and Cheese, granola bars and bread. She loves bread!
FAVORITE SHOW: George
Doc McStuffins, Bublble Guppies, Daniel Tiger and Leap Frog are among her favorites as well
Favorite Color: Orange
BEST FRIEND: Carter
FAVORITE TOY: The baby that Gran and Papa gave me
FAVORITE GAME: Hungry Hippo
It's always a treat for her to get to play Hungry Hippo but Hide and Go Seek is hands down her favorite game, even though she is awful at hiding!
FAVORITE PLACE TO GO: Hello Deli
FAVORITE THING TO TAKE TO BED: George and Murphy
FAVORITE ANIMAL: Tigers at the Zoo
FAVORITE SNACK: Crackers and cheese
WHAT SHE WANTS TO BE WHEN SHE GROWS UP: Dinasour

And since it's hard to sum up a growing, ever changing three year old by just naming off their favorite things, here are some pictures of what she's been up to the past couple of months.

"Say cheese!"

About to head out to the trampoline park with Gran and Papa.

Matchers! She asked if we could take a picture. Notice how long her hair is getting and how dead mom looks with out make up.

She's trying to do the little tea cup here, not scratch her butt.

Addy and Remi are slowly becoming little playmates. She will often ask me to put him in the laundry basket which is either a train, plane or rocket ship, saying "there's plenty of room for him."

Patiently waiting for story time to start.

One of her favorite new places is the Explora Children's museum. She can tell you about all of her favorite things there.

Another one of her favorite new things is bread. She loves it! Who knew?

Her naps are starting to get shorter in the afternoon, but sometimes I can get her to snuggle with me for a while and she might just fall back asleep.

She is becoming a little bit more adventurous and outgoing when it comes to playing with friends and sometimes even making new friends.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ADDY GRACE!!
We love you!

Addy's Birthday Weekend

Sweet Miss Adelyne turned three this weekend. Her birthday wasn't until Sunday but we started celebrating on Friday with a small(ish) party for her and her friends.

We made cupcakes together the night before her party, she wasn't a huge fan of licking the spoon.

Addy's Gran and Papa came up to help with the party and celebrate their granddaughter's third Birthday.

"I'm the tallest girl in the world!"

You might not be able to tell from the look on her face, but she loved being sung to. She loved it so much she asked us to sing a few more times that weekend.

We had a spring theme for the party with a little egg hunt for the kiddos.

Such a fun morning! We are so thankful for great friends and family to celebrate with!

That night, Gran and Papa took Addy to her favorite restaurant to continue her birthday celebration. Matt and Remi had to stay home with the sickies, sadly, but Addy didn't seem to mind the extra attention.

We told the server it was her Birthday and after watching them sing to several tables, the servers finally came to our table with a huge sundae and balloon. She was thrilled.

On Sunday morning, Addy went to 3 year old class for the first time. For not being one who enjoys trying new things, she did great and really enjoyed it. Then Granmarie and Gramps, Carter, Everrett, Auntie Morgan and Uncle Quinn came over for our final Birthday celebration.

Having already been sung to a couple of times that weekend, Addy didn't hesitate in showing her excitement for blowing out the candles and eating a cupcake.

The grass in her hair is from multiple games of Ring Around the Rosie.

"I'm three!"

What a fun weekend celebrating our little lady!

Remington is Seven Months Old!

Remington turned seven months old this weekend!

For a little guy who's barely older than half a year, he has a lot going on. He started crawling this weekend (not too sure how I feel about that) and he's sprouted his first tooth!

Ah, my little prince is growing up!

Monthly updates and photo sessions are always something I look forward too. (I think it helps me deal with my kiddos growing up) And originally, when thinking about this post, I planned on saying something about how mobile he was for not being able to crawl.

Since that topic is now out the window, here are some other fun facts about our crawling seven month old.

He's not a fan of breakfast, could take or leave lunch but never ever misses dinner.

He steals ear rings from my ear and pulls cords out of the socket.

He started sitting on his own the afternoon of his 6 month well check and started crawling not even a month later.

He loves to drink water from a straw so we've taken to calling him our little hummingbird.

People comment about how relaxed and easy going he is, but for some reason, he's only made it all the way through church in the nursery a couple of times.

He's his big sister's biggest fan.

Happy seven months sweet boy!

We wuv you Wemi Bird!

3. Valentine's Day maybe a made up holiday, but you always find a way to make it special
4. You love on me even when it's not Valentine's Day
5. Never thought we'd be raising a family and fixing up a house together nine years later.

Thanks for being my Valentine

Almost Three

In just over a month, our little lady will be 3 years old.
Three!

Addy is a big fan of Birthdays and has been asking about her Birthday for months now. If you ask her what happens around her Birthday, she'll tell you that the leaves will come back on the tree because her Birthday is in the Spring.

I love that her Birthday is in the Spring. It's such a happy time of year.

Since we talk about her Birthday a lot, we already have a few plans that might involve the trampoline park and a few of her friends. She asked to have it at the trampoline park. Isn't that fun. Remember when she asked for an orange last year?

Speaking of last year, I can't believe how she's grown up since then. Her hair is longer, her feet are bigger (almost a 7 now!!) and her vocabulary is larger.

She copies everything and is the best little momma to her baby. She came in from an outing to her Granmarie's looking like this and when I asked to take a picture she held her hand up and said: "But I can't take a picture, I have a boo boo."

She might also be a little bit of a hypochondriac. If you mention a sore throat or any ailments around her, she will suddenly come down with the same thing.

Addy is sweet and caring, asks for hugs and often tells me I'm the best I'm the best Momma in the world.

It's taken six months but she's having a hard time not being the baby anymore. She is however, working on being a "big girl" and has totally mastered using the potty.

She's goofy, always talking or singing and always asking questions.

She asks to paint her nails, wear necklaces, headbands and fix my hair and on an outing with her Dad to the mall recently, she asked to shop for new shoes. She's such a girl!

Addy is always role playing and pretending, asking us to say certain things to interact with her in her land of make believe.

She's popular amongst our friend's little ones despite having shy and introverted tendencies. You might say that her and her cousin Carter are best buddies but she would correct you and say that they are "friends" since she's a girl and girls aren't "buddies."

The other day, she wasn't sharing well with a girl at the mall play place and on the way home I told her if she was nice to the girl, she could have made a new friend. She replied by saying: "But Carter's my friend so I don't need a new friend."

Here are few other funny things she's been saying lately:

Matt: I found a fun restaurant by my office that I would like to take you to sometime
Addy: Oh, is there a little potty there in case I need to go potty?
Matt: I don't know if there's a little one but there's probably a potty
Addy: I know what! We can take my little potty!

Addy to Remi:
When momma tells me to come in here and play with you I do it! Listen up this is important! Calm down little guy! Ok?!?

I'm the microphone lady. You get out of the trampoline park!

She calls the cheese grater the sharp

Addy: Can you say "Addy?"
Me: Addy
Addy: Hold on let me finish chewing'............... what?

Oh Adelyne.
